Created by popular Yorkshire-based artist Trevor Mitchell, these images perfectly capture the enduring magic of steam. The puzzle of locomotive 60007, Sir Nigel Gresley, is set at Grosmont Station (part of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway). The locomotive, built in 1937, was the 100th Gresley Pacific to be completed and bears the designers name in recognition of his work. The North Yorkshire Moors Railway is popular with tourists who enjoy visiting the different stations hidden amongst the magnificent moors scenery. The image of Peppercorn A1 Pacific locomotive 60163 Tornado captures the moment it hauled The Torbay Express for the first time. The construction of this magnificent new steam locomotive took 19 years and was brought about by a dedicated team determined to keep steam alive. The Torbay Express runs steam excursions between Bristol and Torbay in Devon. Our scene shows Tornado running close to the sea front at Dawlish. The The Magic of Steam 2 x 500 Piece Puzzles come with an in-box leaflet, giving details about the artist and show additional puzzle pictures for reference. Includes: 1 x 500 piece puzzle of Sir Nigel Gresley at Grosmont Station, Yorkshire, 1 x 500 piece puzzle of Peppercorn A1 Pacific locomotive 60163 Tornado at Dawlish & 1 x full colour leaflet.
