Description

A legend says that formerly in the city of Taranto people caught a strange disease, tarantism, caused by the poisonous bite of the tarantula. To cure it, the whole village danced the tarantella, a dance supposed to dissipate the venom. But in reality its bite is not dangerous for humans and we do not know if this disease really existed. The tarantula is part of the wolf spider family, and is tive to southern Europe. The tarantula can reach 3 cm long, without the legs. She lives on the ground and digs a burrow filled with silk in which she lives.

We deliver to all addresses in the United Kingdom (UK) from £3.99.

Unfortunately we cannot deliver to BFPO addresses and some large items are shipped directly from our suppliers who ship to the UK mainland only.

UK 48 hour GFS tracked courier service

We offer a 48-hour courier service for most addresses in the UK, however, the following Scottish Highlands and the Channel Islands are a 48-72 hour delivery service (IV, HS, KA27-28, KW, PA20-49, PA60-78, PH17-26, PH30-44, PH49-50, ZE, Jersey and Guernsey – Sark, Alderney and Herm are an additional day delivery from Guernsey).

Your Delivery UK

For orders dispatched from our warehouse you will receive a dispatch email from us including your tracking number and a link for you to keep an eye on your delivery. On the day of delivery you will receive a further email notification from our courier advising you that your order is out for delivery and advising you of an estimated delivery timeframe within 2 hours.

Should nobody be home, our courier will either;

Leave your parcel in a safe place
Leave with a Neighbour
Leave at a local collection place
Leave a card to arrange re delivery

An email advising you of their action will be sent to you.

Larger items direct from our suppliers

Larger items, primarily outdoor or ride-on products are shipped directly from Hamleys partners and may take longer to arrive. Larger toys are generally only shipped within Mainland UK and expected delivery times are included within the product pages.
